Teaching Courses

Our teaching programme is designed to take absolute beginners and equip them with the skills required to enjoy a game of tennis at the standard they aspire to achieve. Structured sessions in a sociable environment are the basis of our programme and help ensure students develop their skills and have a good time doing so.

One-to-one coaching is also available for players who would prefer this. Please contact us at info@diamondtennisacademy.co.uk for availability of these sessions.

Getting the most out of coaching

Group programs and one-to-one sessions are most effective when the player is keen to improve their game. By advising us of what standard you are aspiring to achieve and how many hours per week you would like to train, our coaching team will be able to suggest a suitable programme based on years of experience.

Generally speaking, those seeking to attain a recreational standard are advised to play once a week and participate in our Saturday matchplay sessions. Those seeking to attain a club standard would be advised to play twice a week plus matchplay sessions. Please get in touch for further advice.

You can also complete our questionnaire and return it to the info@diamondtennisacademy.co.uk, or hand in a physical copy to one of the team.

Matchplay Sessions

If you’re already happy with the standard of tennis you’re playing, participating in our matchplay sessions provides a great opportunity to compete against other players of similar ability. This social and competitive environment is ideal to test your skills or put into practise what you’ve learned during teaching sessions. We have a running series of events (typically on Saturday) that can be booked online from our booking page. Get in touch if you need any further details about upcoming events.

Parent & Child Tots Tennis

Our tots tennis sessions are a great introduction to that mix exercise with fun games to keep kids engaged, and build the beginnings of fundamental tennis skills. For parents, its a fantastic way to spend quality time with your children whilst learning a new skill and staying active.

The sessions are ideal for children aged 3 and 4, but we base our sessions on skill level rather than age: you’ll typically find a mix of ages at a similar level of play, which allows each player to progress at their own pace. Please get in touch for more information and to arrange a free taster session.
